Winchester Track Features Strong Performances Across Events

We are excited to share the results from Winchester’s dual meet against Lexington on May 6th at Lexington High School. Although Winchester ultimately came up short in the final team scoring, the meet featured many strong and highly competitive performances across a wide range of events.



The 400M hurdles produced strong finishes for Winchester, with Evan M placing third and Riley J earning second place. In the 800M, Julia R delivered an excellent race to place second, while Chloe W added another strong performance with a third-place finish.


The distance events were another highlight for the team. In the boys’ mile, Noah D claimed first place while Tyler B followed closely behind in second. On the girls’ side, Michelle S earned an impressive second-place finish in the mile.


Sprint events also featured several standout performances. Bryan H placed third in the boys’ 100M, while Avery B earned second place in the girls’ 100M. In the 400M, Will C placed third and Marcus B took first place with a strong race. Leo added another podium finish in the boys’ 200M with third place, while Chiara M placed third in the girls’ 200M.


Winchester athletes also performed exceptionally well in the field events. Viviana C earned first place in the triple jump, Temperance placed second in the high jump, and Mike F finished third in the long jump. In the throwing events, Bryan H placed second in shot put, while Leo V won the javelin and Chris S added a third-place finish.



The relay teams capped off the meet with several outstanding performances. Both the boys’ and girls’ 4x100 relay teams earned first-place finishes, and the girls’ 4x400 relay team also placed first.


In addition to these performances, several athletes earned qualification marks for upcoming championship meets. For the Coaches Invitational Meet, Anna D and Yana M qualified in the Freshman 100M, Riley N qualified in the 800M, and Alex M and Chloe C qualified in the 1 Mile. Chloe C also qualified for the Freshman Mile.

Several athletes additionally qualified for the Middlesex League Division 12 Championship Meet. Marcus B qualified in the 400M, Riley N qualified in the 800M, and Alex M qualified in the 1 Mile.


For the Division 2 State Championship Meet, Avery B qualified in the 100M, Marcus B qualified in the 400M, and Viviana C qualified in the Javelin.


Congratulations to all of these athletes on their strong performances and accomplishments. We look forward to seeing the team continue to compete at a high level as championship season approaches.
