Winchester Track Delivers Wins and Key Qualifiers in Meet vs. Belmont

We’re excited to share this week’s results from our Varsity Track & Field Meet against Reading High School.



The Girls' team earned a 50-50 tie, while the Boys’ varsity team faced a tough 76-24 loss. Despite the challenging competition, the meet featured several strong individual performances.


Notably, Finn Hoover qualified for the Freshman & Sophomore Meet in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.98 seconds. Tyler Bernstine qualified for the Middlesex League Varsity Championship in the two-mile with a time of 10:22.27, and Leo Volchok qualified in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 7.25 inches.



Tyler Bernstein qualified for the Freshman & Sophomore Meet in the mile with a time of 4:44.44. Seren Grassi also had a strong showing, qualifying for the Freshman & Sophomore Meet in the 55m with a time of 7.94 seconds.


Julia Ramsey had an exceptional race in the 600M, with a time of 1:42.79. This performance qualified her for both the MSTCA Coaches Invitational and the Middlesex League Varsity Championship Meet, marking a significant milestone in her season.


Destin Liu demonstrated impressive versatility by qualifying for the Freshman & Sophomore Meet in two separate events. He ran 8.99 seconds in the 55m hurdles and cleared 5 feet 8 inches in the high jump. His high jump performance additionally qualified him for both the Middlesex League Varsity Championship and the Massachusetts Division 2 Meet.


Freshman Solana Murphy made huge improvements in the 1000M, cutting down her time by 12 seconds from last week. Her strong performance qualified her for both the Freshman & Sophomore Meet and the Middlesex League Varsity Championship with a time of 3:18.70.
