This past weekend was a standout one for the WHS Sailing Team, as they competed in two major regattas and earned impressive results across the board.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Marina Bay in Quincy for the O’Day Qualifier, hosted by Milton Academy. Facing strong competition from 14 schools, WHS secured an impressive 4th place overall. In Division A, Will MacNeille and Skyler Marnik delivered a solid performance, finishing 3rd, while Nick Russo and Noah Dengler sailed to a 5th place finish in Division B. Thanks to these combined efforts, WHS clinched a spot in the prestigious O’Day Finals—the New England Fleet Race Championship—which will take place over Memorial Day weekend at Connecticut College.

The team didn’t stop there. On Sunday, they competed again—this time at the Donald Greene Regatta in Natick—and continued their momentum by taking 2nd place out of a field of 20 boats.

With their sights now set on defending their state title next week at MIT, the WHS Sailing Team is riding a wave of success into the final stretch of the season.
