The Winchester swim team closed out its season with determination and strong individual performances, highlighted by an encouraging final meet and a resilient team mindset throughout the year.

In their most recent competition, Winchester saw several swimmers reach the podium, as Bodhi, Alex, and Peter each earned medals in their respective events. The 200-yard freestyle relay team also delivered a standout performance, finishing in medal position and showcasing the squad’s depth and chemistry in relay racing.

Although Winchester captured a victory in its opening meet of the season, the team faced a tough stretch afterward, dropping the remainder of its dual meets and ultimately placing seventh at the league championship meet. Still, the results did little to dampen the team’s spirit or commitment.

Senior captain Peter Kurtz emphasized the perseverance that defined the season, saying,

“The team works hard and is devoted to trying their best—even when we are down in points, people still race their best.”

That attitude, combined with late-season success and strong relay efforts, reflects a program focused on growth and effort as much as results. With younger swimmers gaining valuable experience and leaders setting the tone, Winchester’s swim team heads into the future with confidence and pride in the work they put in all season long.
