The Red and Black continued their impressive form with a commanding 4/11 victory over Arlington on Friday. Just one day after defeating Cambridge, the same seven players secured another win. May and Stredicke won their matches quickly in two sets. Andrews and Binda-Dunn had similar results.

Although their first set went to a tie-breaker, Chen and Karthikeyan had an almost perfect second set, winning 7-6, 6-2. Song's match also became interesting when his opponent made a stunning shot at 5-0 match point. Even Song initially believed the shot was out, as he later admitted, but his sportsmanship remained evident. Song proceeded to let his opponent back into the match, allowing the score to reach 5-4 before regaining control and winning.
Winchester is high on confidence after these two victories, both of which had very different outcomes last season. In the upcoming week, Winchester will play their rivals at Lexington High School. Let’s hope they come out on top!
