The Winchester cross country teams delivered one of their strongest collective performances in program history at the Middlesex League Championships, held at the Woburn Country Club last weekend. Against some of the toughest competition in the state, both the boys and girls teams showed depth, determination, and unity across all levels.

On the boys’ side, Winchester had several standout performances, with Noah Damaske, Tyler Bernstein, Eli Proschitsky, Max Liu, and Noah Dollard earning medalist honors for their exceptional finishes. The boys’ teams placed 4th in Varsity, 4th in JV, and 3rd in Freshman, marking a strong overall day for the Red & Black.

The girls’ team continued their impressive season with an even stronger showing. Medalists included Madelyn Baynes, Caitrin Newman, Ella Newbert, Lila Daly, Josie McCabe, Grace Siciliano, Elizabeth Nguy, Avery Jiang, Julia Ramsey, Millie McDonald, Chloe Chan, Caroline Lanz, Michelle Su, and Abigail Bastien. Winchester placed 2nd in Varsity, 3rd in JV, and 3rd in Freshman, securing one of the program’s best league meet results ever.

Both teams are looking real strong in one of Winchester’s best showings at the league meet ever. As the championship season progresses, the boys team hopes to claim their spot in the All-States Championship meet, and the girls team aims to win the Division 1B Championship for the first time in program history,” said captain Noah Dollard.

With the championship season heating up, the Red & Black have set their sights high — and based on their performances at the league meet, both teams are poised to make history.
