The Winchester football team put on a commanding performance Friday night, cruising to a 42–6 win over North Quincy in one of their most complete games of the season. The Red & Black came out firing on all cylinders — explosive on offense, locked down on defense, and completely in control from start to finish.

Winchester set the tone early when Michael Ficociello found the end zone on the opening drive, giving the Red & Black an early lead and sparking momentum that never faded. The defense followed with a statement performance, holding North Quincy scoreless through the entire first half with relentless pressure and solid tackling.
From there, it became the Gianni Depremio show. The senior running back dominated on the ground, scoring three unanswered touchdowns, slicing through defenders and piling up big gains behind Winchester’s strong offensive line. By the time halftime hit, Winchester had built a commanding 35–0 lead.
One of the biggest highlights came late in the second quarter when William Nelson came up with a huge interception on defense, then immediately turned around and hauled in a deep touchdown pass on the following offensive drive — a sequence that sent the Red & Black sideline and fans into celebration.
In the second half, Winchester maintained control on both sides of the ball, mixing in efficient offensive drives and tough defensive stands. North Quincy managed to find the end zone late in the game, but by then the result was long decided. The final score: 42–6, Winchester.
With this dominant win, the Red & Black continue to prove why they've been so dominant this season — strong, disciplined, and firing on all cylinders heading into the next round of the state tournament.
